Introducing Runway's latest video generation APIToday’s trending AI news & updates

Now launching Runway’s AI for video generation API to access its powerful video generation model

With this step, Runway’s Gen-3 Alpha Turbo model directly into their own applications, platforms and services, making it easier for their developers and other employees to create new video content with the tools they use for everyday work.

Runway said it will charge one cent per credit to access the API, with five credits required to create a one-second video. Using the Gen-3 Alpha Turbo model, it’s possible to create videos of up to 10 seconds at most, a task that would cost 50 cents. Read more.

Snapchat AI video-generation tool for content creator

“We know it’s important for our community to be informed when AI is being used to generate content,” said Ceci Mourkogiannis, Snap’s vice president of product, during the keynote. “So we use icons and context cards to let you know when a Snap is made with Snap AI.”

Snap’s announcement puts it ahead of its social media peers, including TikTok and Instagram, which have yet to release text-to-video AI generators. Although Meta unveiled a tool called Make-A-Video back in 2022 that enables text-to-video generation, it hasn’t released it to the public. Read more.

KLING, AI video generator releases latest 1.5 version

Kuaishou reports that the new model significantly improves image quality, dynamics, and prompt relevance compared to its predecessor. Internal testing shows a 95% performance increase over the previous version.

KLING 1.5 introduces new features including "Motion Brush" for precise motion control, support for different aspect ratios and a maximum video length of 5 seconds for motion brush generations, while prices remain unchanged.
